Practice
Individuals
Individual therapy is the process of getting to know yourself better, from a place of love. When you better understand your inner world, life stops happening to you; you find that you have choice and power. When we identify what is keeping us stuck and notice our patterns, we can find more tender ways of relating to ourselves and our emotions. Adults seek therapy for many different reasons: a major crisis, situational stress, grief, relationship struggles, parenting difficulties, etc. I enjoy assisting my clients in exploring core values and ways to feel more deeply connected to their own lives.
Teens
I work with teenagers aged 14 and up. Adolescence is a developmental period of great importance. Now more than ever, teens are faced with unique and complex challenges. As teenagers are differentiating from their families and exploring their own identities, families can feel overwhelmed and unsure of how to support them. I feel strongly about offering teens and their parents support in navigating these sensitive years and reconnecting to a strong sense of self and well being.
Couples
Intimate relationships can bring us so much joy as well as highlight our most sensitive vulnerabilities. I love offering couples a space to explore their relationship dynamics; the elements that are working as well as the patterns that are keeping them stuck. A major component of my work with couples is assisting them to speak from a place of love and vulnerability within the context of safety and responsiveness.
Perinatal Mental Health
While it is normal and expected to experience mood changes during pregnancy and postpartum, 15-20% of women experience symptoms of depression or anxiety. I am trained in Perinatal Mental Health and feel strongly about supporting pregnant women and families during the postpartum period.
