SANTA CATALINA ISLAND
Santa Catalina Island is located about 22 miles off the coast of California. Visitors primarily access the Island via ferries, which depart daily from Newport Beach, Dana Point, Long Beach, San Pedro and Marina Del Rey. The trip takes approximately one hour and costs $70 round trip. Helicopter service is also available from Long Beach and San Pedro. Catalina Island has a very mild, subtropical climate with warm temperatures year round. In September, the average high is 78.8 F with lows of 61.5 F. The ocean temps should be around 70F. We are so excited to share this beautiful Island with our closest friends and family! Due to the size of the Island, it is very important that our guests make plans well in advance. We have reserved blocks of rooms at local hotels and also recommend looking into house rentals in the city of Avalon. In addition, it is important to book your ferry tickets in June. There is a Blues festival and Film festival the weekend of the wedding and the boats tend to fill up fast!
